Links and a possible accomplishment

On LJ:
December themes for 31_days. I find them pretty and not too hard to interpret or elaborate on.
A novel competition for NaNo winners on LJ: submit a brief plot summary of your story and win a Kindle.
mini_nanowrimo, if not a roaring success, is still a satisfying one. I only missed two days and the total wordcount is twice the target.

Disney parents: dead mothers and absent fathers. Having the MC's or other characters' parent(s) present in the story often leads to conflict and character development, so why not.
